About Delhi Metro Buddy
Someone sitting on a Delhi Metro train often knows they will get off in a few stations, and someone standing nearby would like that seat. Delhi Metro Buddy connects them: the seat holder posts their coach, nearest door and exit station, a standing rider on the same train claims it, and the seat changes hands at the stop. It is free. Nobody pays for a seat.
It also has a route planner that tells you which train to board, which way it goes and where to change, and a guide to every line and station.
How karma works
- You start with 3 karma.
- Claiming a seat holds 1 karma; you get it back if the handover doesn't happen.
- Giving a seat earns 1 karma, or 2 when the rider who claimed it is elderly, pregnant, injured, with a child or carrying luggage.
- Riders with those needs can claim without karma.
- The leaderboard shows display names only, and you can opt out.
